I feel like I need to come out and admit it…. Yes, I am a massive MULBERRY ADDICT! There, I said it!
I probably have about 5 Mulberry’s now and I love every single one of them. They are my pride and joy. Every year I try and tell myself that I won’t buy another Mulberry, but yet I fail miserably. Maybe 2015 will be the year, who knows!
I visited Bicester Village near Oxford last month and you can probably imagine how excited I was when I saw the Mulberry store. Now for those of you that don’t know, Bicester Village is a shopping outlet that only have high end brands such as Ralph Lauren, D&G, Gucci and many more. It is well worth a visit.
I wasn’t planning on buying another Mulberry but when I saw this Somerset Satchel I couldn’t help myself. Now, the Somerset Satchel isn’t a current style and you can no longer buy it in the main Mulberry shops. However, this meant I grabbed this bag for only £315, which would have been over £500 when it was in the high street! £315 for a brand new authentic Mulberry – Bargain!
The leather is beautifully soft and I find its the perfect size for an everyday bag. I have the Bayswater Mulberry which I love but is very heavy when it’s empty, let alone once I’ve filled it with all my belongings, but the Somerset Satchel is big enough just for all the essentials. I can comfortably fit my large (and it is large!) Michael Kors purse, Mulberry diary, phone, keys, tissues and some lippy in there no problem.
It comes with a detachable strap, so you could even use it as a large clutch bag if you wanted.
The Mulberry store at Bicester Village does also stock current styles like the Willow, Lilly and Bayswater. They are just usually last seasons/ years colours with a huge discount!
If you are considering buying a Mulberry I would definitely recommend taking a visit to Bicester Village as you may save yourself £££, especially if you are not set on a particular style or colour.
Tip: If you want to save an extra 10% off ALL the stores at Bicester Village, stay the night at Bicester Hotel Golf & Spa who will give you a 10% off booklet when you leave!
