Excitingly I’ve recently been nominated for the Liebster Award by the lovely girls at The Look List and Labels & Lipstick.
In case you don’t know much about the Liebster Award (don’t worry I didn’t either!) it’s an award given to you by fellow bloggers to those who have under 200 followers, in an order to recognise your efforts and get to know one another in the blogging community.
I was awarded the Liebster Award some time ago but I’ve been so busy I just haven’t got round to doing this post. I’ve got a day off today so have made myself a nice latte and decided to sit down and finally do it!
It’s quite simple really, but here are the rules (the do vary on each blog but are all very similar):
- You have to link back to the person that nominated you
- Answer the 11 questions asked by the person that nominated you
- After completing these questions, nominate 11 bloggers with fewer than 200 followers and give them 11 questions of your choice
- You must not nominate the person who nominated you
- Let your nominees know they’ve been nominated with a link
So, here I go…. My 11 questions from Labels & Lipstick:
1. Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging as I’ve always loved fashion and beauty for as long as I can remember. My full time job is in Marketing and I love the social media element of it, plus I have previously worked in the photography industry which really gave me a hunger for photography. So… I thought I would combine all my passions and see what happens!
2. Favourite highstreet clothing store?
This is a tough one! My favourite high street store is always changing every few months, as I think some seasons a store can do really well, then not so well the next season. But overall a store which I think does consistently well all year round with regards to style, fit and price is Dorothy Perkins.
3. One beauty product you can’t live without?
Definitely would be Dr Manuka Blemish Cream
4. Must have fashion item for autumn/winter?
A brightly coloured coat.
5. What city would you love to visit next?
New York! Been wanting to go for ages!!!
6. Favourite skincare brand?
Dermalogica. If you haven’t tried it – you must! Read my blog post here on their products.
7. Describe yourself in 3 words
Girly, Passionate & Driven
8. If you could give other bloggers a tip what would it be?
Invest in photography. Be that in your time taking photographs, money or both. You can actually pick up good photography equipment fairly cheaply now, but good photos will make all the difference to your blog and social media channels.
9. A song your currently loving
Anything by Sam Smith or Ed Sheeran
10. Favourite film
Pretty Women – what’s not to love – Julia, shopping and romance!
11. What do you enjoy most about blogging?
When I can see that people enjoy what I do. I love getting feedback that someone liked my photo or article. I blog because I love to do it, but it’s an added bonus when others like it too.
