Hello Beauties!

I feel part of my duty as a Beauty Blogger is to let you all know about my new favs and items that I just can’t live without -Well my new Jo Malone perfume has just been added to my list!

I’ve been a fan of Jo Malone candles for some time and it is one of my luxury items that I treat myself to as I’m such a candle addict. It was on my last shopping trip to buy one of their candles that I discovered their amazing perfumes. I have previously smelt their “classic/ normal” range and to be honest I wasn’t bowled over by them, but this time I tried out their intense range and I fell in love with the Velvet Rose & Oud scent.

Jo Malone’s Intense range all come in black bottles and are meant to be a lot more intense and rich smells – the name kinda gives it away! All my favourite perfumes like Jean Paul Gaultier  are very strong so I think that’s why I liked it.

However when I saw the price tag I almost had a heart attack…. £100 for a 100ml bottle! They don’t come in any smaller size either, so it’s that or nothing at all. I had already spent a lot of money that day so I couldn’t justify another £100, and I left with just the candle which I was still happy about.

Throughout the rest of the day I could kept smelling the Velvet Rose & Oud that I had sprayed on my wrist and I loved it, so much so, that I was kicking myself that I didn’t buy it! I’ve always said that if you aren’t sure about buying something, go away and see how much you think about it, then you will realise if you really want it. Well a few weeks had passed and I was still thinking about the perfume! I knew I had to it have it.

I ended up in the Jo Malone store in Brighton one weekend and decided to treat myself. It was then I also discovered that Jo Malone perfumes are unisex….. A man walked in a sprayed another one of the Intense range colognes on himself…. I suddenly panicked that I was buying men’s perfume and that was why it was in the black bottle! Luckily the Sales Assistant told me they were unisex – phew!

There isn’t any more I can tell you about this perfume (or cologne as they call it), but next time you are near a Jo Malone store go and check them out!
