When it comes to makeup lipstick is definitely my weakness, so whenever I find myself near a MAC store I can’t help but pick at least one up as I don’t have a MAC where I live. On my recent trip to MAC in Brighton I invested in MAC Viva Glam II lipstick and of course I couldn’t get a lipstick without buying a lip liner to match, so I also purchased MAC Dervish lip liner.
MAC Viva Glam II is described as a satin finish but to me it doesn’t look or feel like my other satin lipsticks I have from MAC. It’s a lot softer and richer than any of the other satin lipsticks I have. It glides on effortlessly and has a creamy look to it once applied, so I would say so its more of an amplified finish, which I actually prefer to satin finishes as they are less drying.

I love this beige combo as they have a pinky/ mauve tone to them making them very girly, and I think would suit pretty much any skin tone. As you can see from the swatches above the colours blend perfectly together but do come out slightly more pink when applied to lips rather than swatched on the arm.
As with any MAC lippy the staying power is great but I would say it’s not so good just worn alone, which I have done a few times. Once teamed with the Dervish lip liner (I fill nearly the whole lip) it lasts a lot longer.
MAC Viva Glam II is very similar to MAC Blankety which I also have and is one of my all time favorites so bare that in mind if you already have it. My excuse is that my Blankety lipstick was running very low 😉

MAC Viva Glam II and MAC Dervish are a beautiful pairing and are a very easy day to day combo to wear.
