I’ve mentioned in previous posts that I’ve been on a mission recently to sort my skin out and I’ve invested in many products on my journey to get clearer, brighter and smoother skin. Antipodes Divine Face Oil and Antipodes Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream are two of those products that I’ve purchased and boy, I’m so glad I did!
Firstly before I get into this review I thought it would be best to state my skin type: dehydrated, sensitive, oily T-zone with issues such as redness, large pores, uneven skin tone and prone to hormonal breakouts on the chin. I basically have all the skin concerns going!
Antipodes Divine Face Oil
I’ve used all of this product up now so I think it shows that 1. I loved the stuff, and 2. I gave it a very good trial before giving you my thoughts…..
Antipodes Divine Face Oil with rosehip and avocado oil is 100% organic and delivers antioxidants to help boost collagen, reduce the signs of ageing and hydrate the skin.
I’ve always been wary of putting oil on my skin at the risk of it bringing me out spots, but I didn’t need to worry about that with this oil as it never once had that affect. Instead it was very nourishing, my skin felt hydrated and softer after every use. Each evening after I cleansed my face I couldn’t wait to apply the Divine Oil to my skin as it instantly felt more moisturised, radiant and plumper which is what my dehydrated skin craves. Personally I find this a lot more luxurious and moisturising than a serum and I’ve not found anything to beat its hydrating qualities.
I knew I loved this product while I was using it, but I didn’t really realise how much until I stopped using it. My bottle ran out this week and I can honestly say my skin is already calling out for it!
I know some oils can be quite pricey but for under £18 this is an absolute steal! Definitely an item that I will be recommending to everyone who will listen to me and repurchasing myself.
Antipodes Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream
While I was searching for reviews on the Antipodes Divine Oil online before I purchased it, I noticed that the Antipodes Kiwi Seed Oil eye cream was also recommend quite a few times, so I decided to order that too as my other eye cream was coming to an end.
The Antipodes Kiwi Seed Oil eye cream has been scientifically proven to stimulate the production of collagen by 82% providing fantastic anti-ageing benefits. It contains 100% pure avocado oil, manuka and carrot seed and is super rich in vitamin C.
Antipodes Kiwi Seed Oil cream comes in a small 30ml pot and is pale yellow in colour. It feels creamy in between my fingers which I like for eye products, yet it is still light enough to be used on the delicate eye area. It feels nourishing and moisturising when its applied and is very gentle. I wear contact lenses and suffer with a long term eye condition (posterior blepharitis) and this eye cream doesn’t irritate me at all which is very important.
I don’t really suffer with dark circles or bags below the eyes, which I know this cream is meant to help with, so I can’t really comment on that aspect of it, but I can say it feels very cooling and hydrating which I think can only be good thing if you do suffer with these conditions.
The only downside to the Kiwi Seed Oil cream is the jar….Although I always wash my hands before applying any product to my skin I hate having to dip my finger into the jar to get the cream out, as to me it feels unhygienic – especially the further down the jar you go. I would much rather it be in a pump dispenser or a tube, but that’s just my personal preference.
I’ve been using this for about 3 months now and I’m only about half way through so it lasts a very long time.
These are my first two Antipodes products I’ve used and based on the quality and results of them, I am definitely going to be purchasing some more of their range.
Have you tried either of these products? Do you have any other recommendations for me?
