The most common comments I receive on social media and my blog aren’t about my writing or photography skills, but about my makeup – in particular my eye makeup and contouring. These are actually my favourite parts of my makeup routine as I feel they are the easiest to do. Now, I’m no makeup artist so to get any compliments about my makeup seriously makes me blush. Excuse the pun 😉
I’ve always had a huge passion for makeup since I was a wee girl and playing with new makeup is something I thoroughly enjoy. So you can imagine my excitement when PAM (precious about makeup) offered to send me some contouring products from Make Up For Ever to play around with. I think I actually clapped my hands!
I’ve talked about this a few times but being very fair skinned it’s difficult to find face products pale enough for me. I’ve heard so many other bloggers rave about Make Up For Ever (MUFE) as they produce a wide range of shades that are particularly good at the pasty end of the spectrum, so this was another reason I was thrilled to be able try out the MUFE goodies which included a contouring palette, concealer and pressed powder – all ideal to create a red carpet chiseled look.
Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Palette – 20 Albaster*
I’m so obsessed with contouring that I have a 3 step routine. First is foundation contouring, followed by cream contouring then lastly powder contouring. What can I say….. I really like makeup!
The MUFE Pro Sculpting Palette is perfect for the cream contouring step. I used shade 20 Albaster which is their lightest palette and it’s just the right hue for me.
The kit contains 4 creams – a highlight/ concealer, contour, highlight and blush.
The contouring cream is not at all orange and has more of a grey tone to it which I always prefer. I didn’t find the highlighter worked so well on me as I like full on sparkle where as this is very subtle, but if you like a more natural look then it will be right up your street.
The creams all blend well (I use a beauty blender) and didn’t move my foundation underneath it.
I don’t tend to use cream blush, and haven’t done in years, but this one was good at creating a natural rose tint to the cheeks.
Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Concealer – Y21 Pearl*
I’ve got to say it… This stuff is amazing! I quite often find that concealers can be good at covering spots and blemishes but are then too thick to use under the eye area for highlighting, as they sit in the fine lines around the eyes. This stuff however was the perfect consistency. I used it under my eyes in a V shape, on my chin and forehead to highlight with and it covered all my dark circles leaving a luminous finish. It was pale enough for my Casper complexion and gave good coverage without being too heavy. I am definitely adding this beauty into every day routine.
MUFE Ultra HD Concealer in shade Y21 Pearl is the palest colour they offer with a yellow undertone.
Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Pressed Powder*
I always have to set my foundation with a powder otherwise it just slides off my face within an hour. I don’t like anything too heavy as I don’t want it it looking cakey or for it to highlight my fine lines (aka wrinkles!). The MUFE Ultra HD Pressed Powder sets my foundation, doesn’t highlight any lines and creates a flawless base which lasts all day.
The Ultra HD Pressed Powder is translucent so suitable for all skin colours and tones and as it’s created for HD 4k TV you won’t get any flashback on your selfies.
Here’s my top tip ……. Swirl your brush in the powder and then press it in your skin in patches – never swipe it or move it across the face. Give it a go and see the difference…. You can thank me later 😉

The finished look using all 3 MUFE products. |
I’m really impressed with these Make UP For Ever products and they will definitely be used regularly in my routine.
PAM was setup and created up by makeup artists so all the team there are really helpful and know their stuff. Their delivery was super speedy with no issues so if you are looking to purchase some MUFE products or any other makeup brands (they have a huge selection) I suggest you check them out.
