As much as I love having bleached blonde hair it does have it’s drawbacks…. Firstly, it’s the upkeep. As soon as I see a slight bit of regrowth I have to stop wearing my hair up until I can get to the salon and get my roots done, which is time consuming and costly. Secondly is it’s condition. Using bleach combined with heat, like hair dryers and straighteners results in very dry coarse hair. I make sure I use a heat protector spray before I blow dry my hair, but I know I should also be using other treatments such as hair masks to add moisture back in. So when I got the chance to try a hair care range from Linda Lusardi that promises to do just that I was totally up for it.
For those of you who weren’t around in the 80’s (I don’t really remember it much but I was born then), Linda Lusardi was a very popular glamour model. Nowadays she is more famous for TV roles in Emmerdale, Brookside and Dancing on Ice. Linda is known as a glamour puss and has beautiful long thick locks. Linda already has a successful skincare range and is now launching a hair range via Ideal World to compliment it.
I’ve been trying out the Lusardi My Miracle Hair Range which includes a hair cleanse*, conditioning creme* and deep hydration masque*. All three products contain keratin which dehydrated hair produces less of, making it prone to damage and breakage. Keratin is also needed to grow strong and healthy hair which I totally need! In addition they all contain caviar extract which helps to counteract the effects of UV damage and act as a conditioner and hydrator – who knew!?
I use these products as a hair system – just like a skincare regime, so I make sure I use all three products together in order to get the best effect. I use the hair cleanse (a posh name for a shampoo), followed by the conditioner, and then the hydration masque which I leave on for 20 minutes and rinse off. Afterwards my hair feels fresh, bouncy and softer. I try not to wash my hair that often (as again that dries it out), but I’m now going to make sure I use this whole system at least once a week to ensure my hair is looking its best, and to add that much needed moisture back into my hair.
