September Favourites

September favourites

I’ve got to say that this months favourite post was a tricky one as I literally had about 20 products I wanted to include, especially due to my trip to NYC where I spent an insane amount of money on makeup! I’ve decided to be sensible and cut it down to just 8 products and will be doing another post on some of my NYC makeup purchases soon. So without further ado here are the products I’ve been loving in September….

Blank Canvas Cosmetics master series 1 palette and F20 brush

Blank Canvas Cosmetics master series 1 palette and F20 brush

Blank Canvas Master Series Palette 1 & F20 Brush

It turns out us English folk are completely behind with the times when it comes to Blank Canvas Cosmetics. When I received this palette and brush I showcased it on my Snapchat and I got so many snaps from my Irish followers saying how amazing the palette was and how brilliant Blank Canvas are, where as my English followers (like me) had never heard of Blank Canvas before. This isn’t surprising bearing in mind Blank Canvas Cosmetics are an Ireland based brand, but this needs to change as “Oh my” both these products are amazing!

The Blank Canvas Master Series Palette 1 is full of the most gorgeous collection of matte neutral shades, and as a smokey brown eye is my favourite to create I’ve been reaching for this palette a lot. The colours are very pigmented with a velvety feel to them and it comes complete with a vegan friendly double sided brush. The shadows blend well with little fall out. If you like your nudes/ browns/ neutrals this palette is for you!

The Blank Canvas F20 is part of their HD collection and is a multi-purpose face brush. It’s super soft and perfect for buffing in foundation or cream blush. It washes well and is pink so looks pretty on your dresser too. Don’t just take my word for it – take a look at the reviews for this brush on their website and you will see how popular it is!

Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser for dry and senstive skin

Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser

After all the good things I’ve heard and seen about Liz Earle I was excited to try this product as I’ve never used this brand before, and boy it didn’t disappoint! This cream is produced in two versions – one for normal/ combination skin and one for dry/ sensitive skin. I’ve been using the dry/ sensitive version and it didn’t irritate my skin at all, so a big thumbs up from me. The cream is fairly thick but non greasy and instantly makes your face feel more hydrated as soon as it’s applied. It’s formulated with naturally active avocado and borage plant oils to protect against dryness which are also a natural source of vitamin E.

In a nutshell if you have dry/ sensitive skin and are looking for a moisturiser to hydrate your skin you need this in your life!

flaseeyelashes.co.uk, ardell demi wispies, dup glue and loreal mascara

Ardell Lahes, L’Oreal Lash Architect Mascara & Duo Glue

Although technically three products I’ve put these together as they are all from Falseeyelashes.co.uk  who I think you need to know about. Falseeyelashes.co.uk sell mascara, brow products, lash glue and every type of false lash you can think of – strips, individuals, mink and even under eye lashes.

I’ve been using the L’Oreal lash architect mascara for years – it’s my absolute favourite, so I’m glad I’ve found a website where I can order it from and it’s FREE first class delivery!

False eyelashes are very new to me as I don’t wear them. I have the fear. But you know the saying “Feel the fear and do it anyway” so I’m currently in the process of trying to perfect the application. These Demi Wispies from Ardell are beautiful though and give a lovely full lash effect.

Montibello Golden Oil Essence Hair Range

Montibello Golden Oil Essence Hair Range

The Montibello Golden Oil Essence hair range includes Amber & Argan shampoo, Amber & Argan mask, Amber & Argan Bi-Phase and Amber & Argan oil. I use all 4 products as a hair system and cannot rave about them enough. Here’s how I use them:

  • I leave the hair mask on for 15 minutes before I get in the shower and then wash/ condition my hair as normal and you can immediately feel how soft your hair is.
  • I wash my hair using the Amber & Argan shampoo.
  • After towel drying my hair I use the Bi-Phase which is a leave in conditioner and is brilliant at de-tangling my hair and leaving it so silky.
  • I use the oil as the last step once I’ve blow dried my hair to clam any frizzyness and flyway hair.

Montibello can only be purchased in salons nationwide. Call 01264 334466 for your nearest one.

The body shop down to earth quad eyeshadow

The Body Shop Down To Earth Quad – 04

Having not using any Body Shop makeup since I was a teenager I was so eager to try this new eyeshadow quad from the Body Shop which they have recently launched. This quad contains all the shades you need to create a smokey eye which as I’ve previously said in this post is my favourite look. The colours are really pigmented but can be made more intense by using them with a wet brush, which I like to do and use as an eyeliner – I find it a lot easier to control over a liquid eyeliner. The 4 shades come in a cute small palette which is the perfect size to take in your handbag for touch ups or for when your’re travelling. But best of all is that the individual colours pop out and are all interchangeable with the other Body shop palettes, ultimately meaning you create your own custom palette. Brilliant!

Look good Feel Better makeup brushes

These beautiful pink makeup brushes are super soft and come in a sleek travel case which is perfect for when you’re on the go. The bristles are of high quality and are anti-bacterial which means they help keep harmful bacteria like E Coli at bay.

  • Large Multi-Tasking Brush

Look Good Feel Better is actually a charity and it’s the only worldwide charity providing practical support for women and teenagers struggling with the visible side effects of cancer treatment.

Donations from the sales of these makeup brushes will enable Look Good Feel Better to continue their brilliant workshops and masterclasses that teach women skincare, make-up tips and techniques; also including help with eyebrow and eyelash loss and changes to the skin caused by cancer treatments. So you really can spend and not feel guilty.

The brushes can be purchased from M&S, Boots and Look Fantastic.

Beauty Pro collagen face masks

Beauty Pro Face Masks

If you follow me on Snapchat you will know I love my face masks and I try and do them twice a week while parading it on Snapchat and looking like a dork! I love these sheet masks as they are easy to apply and stay put while I prance around the house for 15 minutes doing chores. My face feels instantly refreshed as soon as you apply them and my skin always feels softer afterwards. Both the brightening and rejuvenating masks contain collagen which we know our skins needs to fight the ageing process. I love both these masks and I’m sad that I’ve used up my supply already!

Saturated Colour Lip Vinyl in caressing red

Saturated Colour Lip Vinyl

If you want your lip colour to make an impact then you need to try the Saturated Colour Lip Vinyl. I’ve been using the colour Caressing Red. It combines the high colour pigmentation of a lipstick with the super glossy effect of a lip gloss. All shades are cruelty free and vegan friendly. At only £7.00 these lip treats are a bargain too!
