This month saw the launch of L’Oreal’s newest addition to their makeup range – the Miss Baby Roll mascara.
You’ve probably heard of the LVL lash treatment that curls your natural lashes which has been big for some time now. L’Oreal have seen the popularity of this treatment and have created a mascara which has the same effect – it curls and lifts your natural lashes.
I’ve been trying the mascara out for a good few weeks now so wanted to give you my thoughts…..
I would say that the mascara doesn’t add any volume to my lashes but it does curl them, and I love that the shape of the brush separates my lashes. I’ve found to get the best results I use a volumising mascara (my fav is L’Oreal Lash Architect 3D which they have now discontinued!), then add a coat of Miss Baby Roll and repeat this twice. This way my lashes get the volume, lift and are separated nicely.
The applicator reminds me of Benefit’s They’re Real mascara as it has hard plastic bristles, rather than bendy fibre like bristles. So if you’re a fan of They’re Real then I think you will like Miss Baby Roll.
On me, the mascara doesn’t smudge and lasts all day, but I have never had an issue with mascara smudge or flaking so maybe I’m just lucky!
What I love most about this mascara is the range of colours it comes in. L’Oreal know that colours – particularly pastels – are going to be this year and so the Miss Baby Roll mascara comes in 4 shades – Black, Indigo, Teal and Lilac. They also make a waterproof version of the black too.
In the pic below I have used the Miss Baby Roll mascara in the shade Yeal on my bottom lashes (false lashes on the top). I think this is a nice subtle way of adding that pop of colour without going all out and adding them on both – not that this overall look is subtle! If you saw my Instastories yesterday you would have seen the full look and it was anything but subtle! haha.
I can’t wait to play around with different Baby Roll colours and see what looks I can create – especially with summer and my holiday round the colour – they will be perfect!
L’Oreal Miss Baby Roll mascara costs £7.99 and is available nationwide at Boots and Superdrug.
