I’m sure a lot of you will relate to this but part of the excitement of going on holiday is the time at the airport – the glass of champagne and the shopping! Once I get to the airport I’m in holiday mode and I love the opportunity to browse duty free shopping and pick up some bargains.
I’ve previously blogged about some great duty free bits I picked up at Heathrow, but what you may be surprised to know is that not only can you save yourself some money when you shop at the airport but you can also find some travel exclusives that are only available at duty free!
I wanted to share with you some bargain pieces that you can buy at Duty Free when you hit the airport.
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair – 100ml
I doubt this product needs any introduction as it’s been Estee Lauder’s best seller since the 80’s. You’ll read tonnes of rave reviews about it online and every glossy mag recommends it. The Estee Lauder Advanced Night repair is a night serum that has been proven to reduce the signs of aging by visibly reducing fine lines, wrinkles, as well as making your skin more hydrated and plumped.
This 100ml size is a World Duty Free Exclusive as you won’t find this size on the high street. 50ml in Boots will set you back £72.00 but at Duty Free double that size will cost you only £99.00, so if you’re a fan of the Advanced Night Repair I suggest getting a reserve bottle when you’re next at the airport.
Duty Free Price of 100ml of Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair: £99.00 (exclusive)
Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt and Pomegranate Noir
Jo Malone is one of those products that you will struggle to get a discount on unless you buy it at the airport. There are no vouchers codes you can find online, retailers don’t sell them at different prices and you won’t ever find a buy 1 get 1 free deal here. So I always buy Jo Malone at the airport. You probably all know by now that Wood Sage & Sea Salt is my all time fav scent of theirs so I always pick a bottle of that up. On my recent trip to Gatwick I also brought a bottle of Pomegranate Noir as I’m not sure when I’ll next be flying so thought I best stock up on a couple!
Givenchy Glamour On The Gold
Any makeup lover will understand that it’s not easy to decide what makeup to pack when travelling – especially when you have a collection as large as I do. That’s where this little gem comes in. Inside the Givenchy Glamour On The Gold palette is nearly everything you need for a full face of makeup. All you’d need to add on top would be some primer, foundation and bronzer and you’re there. Inside this stunning gold case you’ll find the Magic khôl black eye liner, lip gloss in shade 08 Sexy Pink, Noir Couture black mascara, N° 2 Satin Ivoire face powder, Prisme blusher in pinker and brighter, Eyeshadow in shades Blanc Nacré, Beige, Mordoré, Prune, Rose, Gris Bleu and Noir Bleu.
The Givenchy Glamour On The Gold is a travel exclusive and can only be purchased at World Duty Free so this is definitely the sort of purchase you want to be making at the airport, as if you don’t then you will definitely miss out!
Duty Free Price for The Givenchy Glamour On The Gold: £56.00 (exclusive)
MAC Studio Fix and MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot
MAC like Jo Malone you will be hard pushed to get a discount on anywhere but the airport. MAC Studio Fix is my holy grail foundation as it’s full coverage like no other and does a wide range of colours – pale girls you’ll feel my pain. I buy shade NC10 which is the palest shade they do. I already have a bottle of this in reserve and bought another bottle of it on my recent holiday when I was at Gatwick.
I also decided to pick up the MAC paint pot to try as an eye primer as I’ve been meaning to try it for ages and as you get a discount at Duty Free I thought “why not”!
Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Essentials Kit – Shade 02
The Terracotta Bronzing powder has long been one of Guerlain’s cult beauty buys way before Kim K made contouring popular. It’s a finely milled powder that is long lasting, hydrating and is perfect at giving you an all over glow, or helping you contour for that more chiselled look. The powder has a beautiful scent and is available in the essentials set in shades 1 – 4. The travel exclusive set also comes with the added mini Kabuki brush. Although in the pan it looks like it has some shimmer to it once applied you can’t see it and it’s perfect at giving you that just stepped off a plane glow.
Duty Free Price of the Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Essentials Kit: £30.70 (normally £36.50)
Are there any products you always pick up at World Duty Free?
