If you watched my Instastories a few weeks ago you would have seen the day that I went to shoot a dress with Kaye, but instead left the house without said dress. I got to London, went to get changed into the dress and then realised it was still hanging at home. Annoyed wasn’t the word. Luckily Kaye was running a bit late so it meant I had 10 minutes to pop into Zara and buy an outfit to replace the dress.
Now we all know panic buying rarely ends well but on this occasion it actually worked! I picked up this jumper and camel coat from Zara and I’ve been loving them ever since.
The jumper stood out to be because of the gold diagonal stripes which made it a bit different and dressy. It’s a square/ boxy style so it’s not the most flattering of fits on someone with my body shape but I like it nonetheless.
Even before this event I had been eying up camel coats for a while as they are an absolute classic staple that will come back into fashion every autumn/ winter. I had in fact looked at this camel coat on Zara’s website but dismissed it. I really don’t think Zara does its clothes justice on its website as they try to make it look too editorial, so I always prefer shopping in-store with Zara rather than online.
So although I was totally peed off with myself forgetting the dress I’m also kinda glad as it meant I got to buy these two pieces which I otherwise wouldn’t have done.
I have another shoot booked in with Kaye in a few weeks and this time I’m determined not to forget the dress!!
