If you’re reading this post it means January is almost over – woo hoo! It’s officially the worst month of the year and I’m quite frankly glad it’s moving on. Once Christmas is over I’m wishing for spring as soon as possible.
I’ve been trying some fab products the past month that it was so hard to whittle it down to just this selection, so here it goes my January favourites…… Enjoy!
Crown 35 Colour Rose Gold Palette
Warm toned palettes will always be my favourite. I’m so pale that I need some warmth to add some life to my face, and orange/ red tones always make my blue eyes pop. The Crown Rose Gold palette contains 35 (mainly warm) shades in a combination of matte and shimmer finishes.
This palette is probably giving you all the Morphe feels, which isn’t surprising as the packaging is almost identical and at only £22.99 it’s the same price too! Formula wise, the shimmers are brilliant – creamy and pigmented. The majority of matte shades are pigmented with just a few that let them down, but overall it’s a great palette with a good mix of matte and shimmers to create a bundle of different looks.
If you’re a fan or Morphe and/ or like these shades then I reckon you will love it.

Tutti London Candle
No words are really needed to describe this Tutti London candle because just look at it!! Insert heart emoji face here!!!!
Unless you watch my Instastories you probably wouldn’t have heard of Tutti London… They are a fairly small independent business but boy do they make amazing candles that come in the most beautiful packaging. I’ve already gone through a pink one and now I’m using this white one which has a gorgeous Italian Lemon scent and smells so refreshing.
All the Tutti London candles are made from high quality soy wax which means they burn evenly – don’t you just hate candles that burn down in the middle and you end up wasting half the candle! All their candles are eco-friendly and hand poured in the UK.

Dr Botanicals Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil
I received a bottle of the Dr Botanicals Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil in the January edition of Glossybox – I love finding new little gems in there. This is a hybrid between an oil and a serum as it’s lightweight, non greasy and absorbs very easily into the skin.
The Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil is packed full of minerals and vitamins that work to repair and protect skin and leave it looking healthier. The main ingredient of Moroccan Rose Oil is the high levels of Vitamin C which stimulate collagen production and Vitamin A which protects against free radicals and evens skin tone.
I’ve been loving using this product this month. It smells divine (of roses) and is so quick and easy to use, which I need when I’m in a hurry in the morning.

Molton Brown Rhubarb & Rose
Molton Brown was one of the first luxury beauty brands I purchased when I was in my early 20’s and I’ve loved them ever since. Their classy packaging and gorgeous scents were made for me and I always felt special using their products. I couldn’t afford much when I was 22 so I remember buying the lotion and only using it on Saturday nights which were special occasions for me!
Moving on 10 years and I still love them as much today. I started using the Molton Brown Rhubarb & Rose set at the back end of December. I’m not sure how new this scent is to their collections but it certainly wasn’t around when I first used them. The Rhubarb and Rose scent is super sweet – it’s so nice it’s one of those products you want to eat as well as use on your body – but don’t worry I resisited eating it!
I would say that this set would be lovely gift for someone, in fact scrap that – buy it for yourself – you won’t regret it! I’ve also spied that they do the Rhubarb & Rose scent in a candle form that is PINK!!!
The Molton Brown Rhubarb & Rose set can be purchased here.
L’Oreal Colour Riche Pink Gold Obsession Lipstick
I think L’Oreal lipsticks have got to be my BAE as they can do no wrong at the moment! I mentioned two of their other lipsticks in my Hero Products of 2017 post and now I have this L’Oreal Colour Riche Pink Gold Obsession Lipstick to talk to you about…..
The L’Oreal Colour Riche Pink Gold Obsession Lipstick is a pink toned slightly metallic lipstick, which leaves you with an illuminating shine. I know the word “metallic” can sound quite daunting to some, but It’s quite sheer and not at all in your face so very easy to wear. It contains a combination of Omega-3 oils and Vitamin E which helps to protect your lips from drying and keep them moisturised the whole time you are wearing it.
If you’re a fan of pale pink lipsticks with a shine, then you will love this!

Freya Force Cherry Glow Sports Bra
I’ve been really chuffed with my gym routine this year as I’ve been going 3 times a week and haven’t missed one session yet! To get me geared up the sweat fest I’ve invested in some new sportswear to keep me motivated – I don’t know why but it always seems to help.
Anyone with big boobs will know that trying to find normal bras to fit is quite a task, but trying to find sports bras that is supportive is even trickier. That’s where Freya come in. I’ve loved their normal bras for years and their sports bras are of the same high quality.
I love the girly colours of this bra and it keeps my assets firmly in place with little jiggling, which is just what I need with all the high impact exercise I do. If a bra can see me through burp-bees its a winner in my book!
This is the first sports bra that I haven’t had to size down in… Usually I would buy a size down so my boobs are really held in firmly, but I’ve ordered my normal bra size in this Freya Force sports bra and it fits perfectly. I like how it doesn’t make them too squished together either.

Crown Synthetic Makeup Brushes
2.5 years ago I was lucky enough to be gifted a Crown blending brush in my goodie bag at a blogging event and it’s been my favourite ever since. I only ever had one so I’m now super excited to have more in my collection. The ones I like are their synthetic eye brushes (not the goat or sable ones) – basically the ones that have the white and black bristles. The brushes I’ve been using this month and loving are:
SS027 SYNTHO DELUXE BLENDING CREASE BRUSH
SS021 SYNTHO BLENDING FLUFF BRUSH
C460 INFINITY BLENDING FLUFF BRUSH
They may not be pretty and pink but they do a great job at blending and are incredibly soft. As I blend so many eyeshadows together I find a need a good selection of blending brushes. The small Crown ones like the SS012 are really good at blending eyeshadow under the eye where you need to be a lot more precise.
