NEW L'Oreal Infallible Primers

Hey Guys!!

If you watched my Insta Stories a few weeks ago you’d have seen that I attended L’Oreal’s Shot it, Shape it & Strobe it event which was to launch a collection of new Infallible primers, foundation, blush, contour and highlighter sticks. I’ve been super impressed with all the products but today I want to talk to you about some of the primers.

The primers (there are 5 in total) are meant to be used in the same way as the L’Oreal Pure Clay masks – you can mix them up and wear a different primer on different parts of your face depending on its needs. As someone with multiple skin concerns I love this concept and I’ve been using the L’Oreal Infallible Pore Refining Primer, Illuminizing Primer and Mattifying Primer a lot together to ensure all my needs are met. Here are my thoughts on all three of the primers…..

L'Oreal Infallible Pore Refining Primer

L’Oreal Infallible Pore Refining Primer

The L’Oreal Infallible Pore Refining Primer comes in a pink bottle which matches the product inside. It has a silky texture, is incredibly soft and blends easily and quickly into the skin.

As soon as I’ve applied it my skin feels mattified yet hydrated. My foundation blends seamlessly on top of the primer and my pores do look smaller. After an hour or so my pores become visible again, but to be fair I’ve not found one primer yet that can stop this from happening! Please can someone invent one!? It did make my foundation stay on longer than without wearing primer, but my oil did start to creep through in my t-zone after about 4 hours – which is where the L’Oreal Mattifying Primer came in handy (see below!).

I have very sensitive skin and this primer did not irritate it all (in fact none of the primers did) and its has an SPF15 in it which I really like my skincare or makeup to contain.

Overall I’ve been really impressed with the L’Oreal Infallible Pore Refining Primer and I think it’s as good as any of the high end primers that charge twice the amount.

You can buy L’Oreal Infallible Pore Refining Primer for £8.99 here.

L'Oreal Infallible Mattifying, Illuminizing and Pore Refining Primers

L’Oreal Infallible Illuminizing Primer

Where do I start with this primer…..? If glowy skin is your thang then this primer is for you! I’ve never used a primer that makes my skin glow this much! Just Wow!! You can use it under your foundation, mixed with your foundation or on top of your foundation as a highlighter. You could wear it alone on your skin without any foundation, but I warn you now, you would look like a disco ball!

It’s a silver pearlescent colour and will wake up even the most dull skin tones. I was so impressed that even after adding heavy foundation on top and setting powder the glow could still be seen.

The only downside to this primer (for me) is that its not at all mattifying, in fact it’s quite hydrating, so dry skin gals – it’s got your back! But for someone like me who has really oily skin it’s a bummer. To get round this I’ve been using the L’Oreal Infallible Mattifying Primer on my T-Zone the Pore Refining primer everywhere else and then the Illuminizing primer on top where I want some highlights – my cheeks, side of my forehead and a bit on my cupids bow and nose.

Due to the colour and tone of this primer I think it works best on pale skin colours.

L’Oreal Infallible Mattifying Primer

The L’Oreal Infallible Mattifying Primer is white in colour and has the most liquidly formula out of the three primers. Unlike most mattifying primers it takes quite a while to dry down but once it does it feels incredibly light on the skin.

This primer increases the wear time of my foundation and keeps my oil at bay for much longer than any of the other Infallible primers, but after a full day at work my oil is starting to show – buy hey… 8 hours isn’t bad in my books!

You can by the L’Oreal Infallible Mattifying Primer for £8.99 here.

At £9 a pop you can’t go wrong with these primers and with 5 in the full collection there will be a primer to suit everyone out there! You can shop all the L’Oreal Infallible Primers here.
