The Gatwick Summer Festival launched last year and as it was so popular they have brought it back this year even bigger! If you visit Gatwick this summer you’ll benefit from money saving offers, family fun such as performers for the kiddies, competitions and travel exclusives – which includes a Summer Festival cocktail which uses gin that is distilled at the airport (who’d have thought!?). There is also an exclusive offer at Gatwick this year where if you spend over £100 on beauty at World Duty Free you’ll get the Lancaster Tan Maximiser for just £4.99 which is a 75% saving!
I was lucky enough to be treated to £200 worth of vouchers to spend on whatever I wanted – yes you heard that correctly! As World Duty Free prices are a lot cheaper than the high street you are actually getting a lot more the £200 worth of products. With the amount of brands they had at Gatwick it was a very tough choice but here’s what I picked up:
Jo Malone Honeysuckle & Davana Scented candle
I of course made a beeline straight for Jo Malone beacuse yes, I’m obsessed. You all know that now anyway. I already have the fragrance of Honeysuckle & Davana (its the new one released last year) and as I loved it, I thought I’d get the candle to match.
Jo Malone Intense Dark Amber & Ginger Lily Scented Candle
The Intense range from Jo Malone comes in black packaging and are well, intense. The smell is a lot stronger and lasts longer. The Dark Amber & Ginger Lily intense candle isn’t a scent I would wear but I think it will smell divine in the home. I’m hoping the smell of the candle is stronger and lasts longer just like their fragrance.
Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir Body/ Hand Lotion and English Oak & Redcurrant Body/ Hand Wash
Yeh, I went a bit Jo Malone crazy didn’t I!? Ha ha. I got the hand wash and lotion for no other reason than they look oh so pretty! They will end up being my “fancy” products that only special guests can use – yes, I’m Monica from Friends, I also have different towels for different guests too!
YSL All Hours Foundation in shade BR 40 (Cool Sand)
I’ve heard so many people rave about the YSL All Hours foundation so this was a great opportunity to give it a go! It’s a full coverage foundation which claims to last 24 hours and leaves a matte finish. Just up my street. I’m so excited to start using it!
I’ll be trying this out soon, so make sure you watch my Instagram stories to see what I think of it!
By Terry Baume De Rose Le Stock Levres
I love the By Terry Baume De Rose lip balm and I initially picked that up. But then, I saw they did a stick version of it and the clean freak in me thought it was a much better idea. The original Baume De Rose comes in a pot so it involves putting your finger in which I’m not a fan of – especially with long nails! So the stick version of it was a much better option. Also if you haven’t tried the Baume De Rose you need to – it’s my favourite lip balm ever!
MAC Studio Fix Foundation in shade NC10
My holy grail foundation – MAC Studio Fix. I’ve worn it for about 15 years now. I however, use this foundation as a concealer under my eyes, down the centre of my nose and on my forehead. I find concealer just too thick and the MAC Studio Fix foundation has such great coverage that it’s the perfect alternative.
If you had £200 to spend in World Duty Free what would you buy?
